goal oriented

i've always wanted to make a quilt. for years, i have been collecting fabrics and photos of quilts that i like, intending to someday make one for myself.
in 2004 i started blogging. 2005 was when i decided to finally learn to knit - and i did. 2006 was the year i said "i will learn to make pie" and i did it - & now i think my pies are quite delish. so, maybe, 2008 will be the year i finally tackle quilting! although i've also been thinking about taking on bread...

oh yeah, 2007 - i sorta skipped that year. moving and a surprise pregnancy kind of took up all my time. but i could always say it was a sabbatical.

Just do it! I love making quilt tops, but the actual quilting part is a little intimidating for me. My advice is to start out small-ish. My goal for this year is to actually complete the 4 quilt tops I've completed in the past year!

I agree. Just do it. I found this cool easy bread recipe, too. I wrote about it here, and there's also a link to a video that tells you more. The bread is great AND easy. Yeast bread, in five minutes of prep time.

You go, girl!

ok, i am totally inspired by the quilts i saw on sew, mama, sew today. i am not allowing myself to work on anything but my swap stuff until they are mailed - but then i can't wait to dive in! bread AND quilts, no less.
