and i didn't slice off any fingers.

so here are some of the fabrics i've chosen for my first quilt-along! i'm already behind. this will be for our daughter, if it all works out. all the fabrics are from my stash, although several i bought a few months ago with quilt making in mind. a few are treasures found at the goodwill - a moda feather print and a robert kaufman floral. the very bottom is a cotton moire print i got there too. the rest are from hobby lobby, joann's, & wallyworld. i know they may not hold up forever, but it's my first attempt. also, there may be a few other fabrics making an appearance, because several aren't full 1/2 yard cuts so i need to fill in some blanks. since snapping this pic earlier today, i've gotten all but two of the fabrics cut into 2 1/2" strips. it's exciting to play around with the patterns, and i think it will look adorable in her room. crossing fingers...

Love the pinks and greens! I can't wait to see your quilt all done! I was going to do this quilt-along, but have too many projects going already, so I'll live vicariously thru you :o)

I am doing this quilt along too, and luckily didn't cut off any fingers last night either. :) Good luck!
