the vegemite taste test

all right, becky left me a comment and i realized i had never sampled the vegemite. today is the day! i've been up a few hours, gotten a lot of chores done, and i figured, i could use a healthy breakfast.

here goes!

umm, yeah. that's, er, healthy. i'd show you an after photo, but it would be rude. let's just say, it's not my taste. thanks, though, becky, i can mark another thing off my bucket list!

and sorry, i know i told you here i wouldn't post any lingerie photos. one of the best things about living in the country is staying in your nightie until noon. (or later...)

Kudos for trying it! In the pjs and the hair is all done, very nice!

I'm just lucky in the hair dept - I just wash and air dry, it behaves pretty well :)

Great idea, maybe we'll start a Tuesday Night Sewing Date Group! Ooo, and show photos of what we did, I may just have to start that! And you sure can join :) I shall do a little write-up on my blog soon and start it up! Now to just figure out the flicker thing..

Just popped over from Becky's blog and saw the Vegemite emergency! The stuff is pretty damn salty, huh? I guess it makes a difference if you're weaned on the stuff! When I was living in California, my housemates had a try of Vegemite and really struggled with it... partly because they'd put it on like peanut butter! The thinnesst smear is all that's necessary. The best brekky is Vegemite on BUTTERed toast with a cup of black tea on the side. I had this while a friend imbibed a bagel and coffee at Pete's Coffee House. She watched my absorption in my foodstuff and announced, "You're as happy as a pig in mud, aren't you?". And I was : )

Better luck with the next Australiana food. Happy to send a Violet Crumble if you want to continue investigations.

You've put it on a wee bit thick. :) Put lots of butter and then spread the Vegemite very thinly on top of the butter.

I actually love Marmite - which is what Kiwis eat. I don't mind Vegemite but it's all preference.

I took some home in April and mom tried it without my supervision so of course she didn't like it.....
