tell me what you think!

good morning and happy weekend!  i am excited today!  troy is taking the kids to the pond again, which means alone time for momma!  i don't even know where to begin.  should i continue with organizing my sewing stuff? finish sewing a work in progress?  (i still haven't done the binding on baby's quilt...)

or turn the above pieces into a coin quilt?  i think it needs more variety, still playing around with fabrics.  i love the colors for a boy, but the one print has flowers in it.  too girly?  or should i paint my nails and take a nap? read a book?  like i said before, a girl could get used to this, what do you call it, ME time!?

this comes right on the heels of my fun day yesterday.  troy was working overtime on his day off, so mom and dad came over to keep the kids while i went to lawrence for my doctor appointment.  only 18 days left!  and mom shooed me out and told me to enjoy my day, not rush back.  so i did.  i went thrifting, and scored a ton of vintage sheets!  also a cute jacket and sweater for emma.  and target was having some good 75% clearance deals, so i got a lot of clothes for my boys.  can't beat $1.24 for polo shirts.

sorry for rambling.  i'm a little giddy with all the freedom!  i washed all the sheets up last night, and i plan to cut fat quarters from most of them to list in my etsy.  i have amassed quite a collection, and i thought i might try selling off a bit of it to make some room on my shelves.  what would you pay for a fat quarter bundle of four?  i'm curious.  i'm thinking no more than $4, plus shipping.  leave me a comment!  i'll pick a random winner and mail you out a v.s. fat quarter in your choice of color!

Cool! Wish I had an afternoon to myself! I've never bought vintage sheets, but I have heard lots about using them. I've seen fat quarters at Joanns, etc. for about $1 a piece, so I'd say I'd pay around $4-5 for a bundle. I guess since they're more rare/vintage, $5 probably wouldn't be a bad deal. But then again I'm really cheap! :)

I'd definitely scoop up yummy FQ bundle at 4 plus shipping! VS's are rare to come by in our nook of the woods and it would be nice to lay my hands on affordable goodies!

Wow, what a great stash of sheets! I would pay $4-5 for a bundle of four. Good luck!

I think that you're right, maybe $4 for a basic bundle of 4 FQ's, but if it included 1 or 2 extra special FQ's maybe $5 a bundle. Great finds!

Depending on how cool the fq's are I would pay 6-8 dollars for a bundle. cool vintage sheets are not always easy to come by...

$4 sounds fair. If they were brand new vintage (that sounds strange - I mean new in the package!) I might pay more. I've become very picky lately!

I thought my load from the last couple of days was good, but you really did score.

I would pay $5-$6 for more "unusual" prints. I buy a lot on etsy, but lately prices have gone through the roof on sheets and shipping is crazy. I can ship 3 fat quarters coast to coast for $1.90 so why some are asking $5.00 is beyond me.

I think $4 or $5 is a fair price. I've discovered you have to make sure you know how much to charge for shipping though! I sold a vintage sheet and only charged $3 for shipping, only to find out it was $8.50 to ship it!! I was shocked, to say the least. And of course it wouldn't fit in the small flat rate boxes :( I think the rarer the print, the more you can charge.

I agree with everyone else here...$4-$5 is fair for a bundle of VSFQs in average condition, but feel free to charge more if they are in good condition or are really fabulous!

I have been wondering the same thing for my shop, actually. I figure the only way to afford my VS habit is to sell a bit of each one I find!

I think $4 is a bargain.

I think it depends on the v.s. I think $5.00 if they are "cool" prints that are hard to come by, if they are average then $4.00. I don't buy any, I have a great thrift store nearby that I can find really cool v.s. for $1.25 EACH!!!!!!!!!!!!! so unless it is something I can't live without or something I need for something I am working on, I don't need to buy any. GOOD LUCK.

Ahhh. A day to myself. That is a lovely thought! I would definitely buy a bundle of 4 for 4 or 5 dollars plus shipping. I like it when shipping is cheap (read actual shipping cost!). The one in the top right hand corner- that is the sheet set and WALLPAPER I grew up with! I love it, it brings back good memories! My mom gifted me with all the sheets and curtains and extras she bought to go with the set when I started collecting vintage sheets! Wahoo! (visiting from Bee Vintage!)
