i whipped up this top the other morning, from this
undaunted pattern by jennifer casa - and i'm not so sure about it. when i first put it on, i thought no way.

nice grainy bathroom shot :) |
but then i wore it around the house the next morning, and it is the most comfortable, breezy top ever. it's a perfect house shirt. ok, maybe not the most flattering top on me, i never have looked good in boat neck tops. my shoulders are too broad and rounded or something. anyways. i'm not 100% sure i made the neckline correctly, but it works. and it used up some fabric i'd had laying about for years :)
THANK YOU everybody, you are all very kind. i'll try not to complain so much!
what are you making today?

So far today I've made coffee. I'm in a sewing slump. Hubs has been working a lot & I'm busy getting ducks in a row to apply for a teaching job & get my teacher's license back. Hard to find the energy to climb the stairs & sew.
I love your top. I have no idea what you're talking about on the neckline & your shoulders. You look fabulous.
I agree with Nikki, it looks terrific!
This looks great and oh so comfy!
Really, really quite lovely on you Tammie:) Great finish!!
We are often too hard on ourselves and girl, you are being too hard on yourself. You look so great in that shirt! I made it once and I did not look good, so believe me when I tell you this...yours looks great!
LOVE it....I need to make more for me...heck, I just need to make more!!! So busy crafting for kiddos...you look very pretty by the way!!
I think the neck and tiny sleeves look great on you! I've never felt I looked good in something I made for myself, though. That whole "you are your toughest critic" thing and all...
