inspire swap

last month, our do. good stitches inspire group had a mini quilt swap.  as usual i was behind on mailing it - so sorry sarah!  hope you will love it all!

i used jeni's triangular log cabin and some moda v & co. simply color fabrics, then paired it with kona gray.  added orange dotty binding, i love how it came out!

i made a matching mini pinny and a little fabric bowl using a spoonful of sugar's tutorial!  then i tucked in a few more goodies.

the bowl has some DS fabric paired with one of the simply color prints.

it's reversible. i'm thinking these bowls will be fun teacher gifts for christmas, maybe filled with candy?  i traced a round tin i had in my sewing area, but you could make them any size you wanted.  they are a little fiddly to make but are a good way to use up scrap fabric!  i found that the easiest way to finish the binding was a whip stitch.  i *think* you could use perle cotton, and maybe a blanket stitch?  i'm sure i'll make this again, in different sizes.

anyways - fun swap, can't wait to get my own package in the mail!  i love our do. good stitches circle.  lots of talented peeps in our group.  speaking of, be sure to visit our group leader holly's blog bijou lovely, she's giving away an ebook of skip the borders!
