Oh man do I want that book! But my best "side dish" is a multi-layer bean dip I created with home fried tortilla chips! I use canned refried beans and my food processor and then make layers in the dish of different things like cheese, onions, olives etc. Then nuke it to make it all melt and dig in! It has been a HUGE family function favorite for many years! Ok, now I am hungry! Thanks for the drawing!

my new favorite side dish is a zucchini tomato casserole. thinly slice zucchini and layer it on the bottom of an oven safe dish, sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and whatever your go to seasonings are (mine is greek seasoning) then thinly slice a tomato and layer on top. again sprinkle with cheese and seasoning... repeat zucchini and tomato layers then top with bread crumbs and cheese mixed together. bake at 350 for 30 minutes. it is fantastic and has become my main meal on nights when the husband is at work!
