Quilt market recap, part one

I'm home! Back with my favorite people in the world.

I had a blast at market! I have so many pictures to share, but let me start with this one.

It will be here soon, so save the date! There just might be a giveaway or two...

OK, so. market. I got to Houston Thursday afternoon, and at the airport, I bumped into one of the other designers in the book, John Kubiniec of Big Rig Quilting. We met up with Karen Gloeggler, who was at market promoting her new book, Jane Austen Quilts. Loved them both! We had dinner and then I headed back to the hotel. I hadn't slept the night before - too excited!

Heather, me, Lisa, and John
Friday was schoolhouse day! We only had 15 minutes to talk about the book and show all the quilts. There were quite a few people who came to see it, which was a relief - we were the last session of the day, and right at dinner time too. Heather & I figured we'd be talking to each other. But I survived my brief moment at the mike. And I got to hug my quilt - I hadn't seen it since this summer!

I've got lots more to share but I still need to unpack. So I'll be back tomorrow with more photos!

Glad you had fun! Can't wait to hear what all you thought about it! :)

(and so incredibly jealous - we are going to Quilt Festival at the end of the week but I'd love to get to go to Market one year)!
